DNC and City of Chicago authorities bolstering fencing near Union Park after breach in temporary fencing Monday afternoon

Additional fencing is going up Tuesday, August 20, 2024 after there was a breach in the temporary fencing at Union Park near Washington Boulevard and Ashland Avenue in Chicago Monday afternoon.

Report of four people arrested Monday.

The street closure area for DNC Chicago on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 includes Delaware Pl from State to Rush, Rush from Delaware Pl to Walton, Walton from State to Rush, and State from Delaware to Walton.

ABC 7 Chicago reported peaceful protesters of the Poor People’s Army were diverted from their planned March Monday.  A Poor People’s Army March occurred at the 2024 Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
