NBC 5 Investigation shows Illinois State Police revoked Aurora Shooter’s FOID card, but never confirmed surrender of weapon

Aurora shooter Gary Martin reportedly told the doctor examining him after violent attack of Chyreese Jones in 1994 , "I have a problem controlling my temper…when I get real upset."

In 1996 Chyreese Jones warned: "I am afraid that someone may end up dead, all because the prison system wants to be rid of him."

Illinois State Police don't know why there was no follow up to forfeit his gun after they revoked his Firearm Operator's Identification (FOID) card.
