Restaurant fire "Porkchop Chicago BBQ" on Broadway near Devon Ave Chicago

Barbecue restaurant Porkchop Chicago BBQ at 6341 N. Broadway in Chicago was significantly damaged by fire Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2025. A firefighter suffered a minor injury.

The fire started in the rear of Porkchop Chicago BBQ, but quickly extended to the attic, according to Chicago Fire Department District Chief Scott Shawaluk.

Flames have spread to the roof as crews work with multiple lines and a master stream. Police have closed Broadway between Devon and Rosemont, rerouting buses.
