Underground electric vault fire near SoHo House Hotel at Randolph St and Green St

Police and firefighters from Chicago responded about 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 to a large fire with 10 foot high flames and small explosions at an underground vault near the SoHo House Chicago at 113 North Green Street in Chicago.

Chicago Fire Department assigned a Level 2 Hazmat to the incident.
