Hinsdale South Basketball brings back Brendan Savage to team after his mom sues in Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division
Mom Erin Savage filed the lawsuit on Wednesday in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, alleging that Hinsdale South boys basketball coach Michael Belcaster cut son Brendan after tryouts this fall in retaliation for the family filing a complaint against the previous basketball coach, Michael Moretti.

Rollover semi-trailer truck on Irving Park Rd under the Kennedy Expressway
6:46 AM ... Chicago firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a rollover crash with injuries at Irving Park Road and Kennedy Expressway Chicago. Semi-trailer truck rolled over on the passenger side. Eastbound Irving Park Road backed up past Cicero Avenue.

BLM Chicago backs Palestine with image of Hamas paraglider after Hamas invasion of Israel, then deletes it
BLM Chicago, which has an X.com account of more than 60,000 followers, posted this week an image of a person paragliding with a Palestinian flag attached to its parachute with the phrase “I stand with Palestine” displayed beneath the graphic. Text in the post stated, "That is all that is it!"
Early in the invasion of Israel on Saturday, October 7, 2023, Hamas used paragliders to descend into Israeli territory. A video showed paragliders descending on the area where a trance dance party for peace was held overnight, and where about 260 civilians were murdered.
BLM Chicago also deleted the X.com post this week.
BLM Chicago posted a message to people who were withdrawing support and were removing BLM signs: "Bye, toodles. We've always been for Palestinian freedom. We stood with Rasmea, there's no way you could have been with us at any point and missed that to be shocked now."

Female, age 17, facing charges, accused of beating a 62 year-old man during a carjacking in Chinatown in Chicago
A 17-year-old girl was charged this week after Chicago police accused her of beating a 62-year-old man during a carjacking in Chinatown on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in the block of 200 West 22nd Place in Chicago.
The beating was captured on video.
