Dad's GMC SUV Hit By Driver of Stolen Vehicle, Son Ejected, Killed; Offender Escapes, Goes on to Carjack 2 More Vehicles

Donovan Turnage, 11, died Saturday on his way to get a haircut for the holidays with his father in his father's SUV when they were hit by the driver of a stolen vehicle at West Garfield Boulevard and South Halsted Street [...] The first stolen vehicle was carjacked at 11:20 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of West Irving Park Road. The offender crashed into the SUV, then carjacked a second vehicle, which ran out of gas on NB I-294 near I-88  [...] Offender, described as a male/white, age 40, 6'0" 200 LBS and wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans, carjacked a third vehicle (a light blue Honda Accord) on NB I-294 [...] Police have identified the offender, but his name has not been released [...]

Wrongful Death Lawsuit for Kane County Sheriff's Police Chase that Ended with Crash that Killed Zachary Bingham

The attorney for the family of Zachary Bingham, a 2012 Kaneland High School graduate, filed a lawsuit saying that Kane County Sheriff's police should have called of a dangerous police pursuit, which eventually killed Bingham and the offender when their vehicles crashed.
